Guntur: Essentials sent for distribution among tobacco farmers

Guntur: Tobacco Board Chairman Yadlapati Raghunath Babu on Monday flagged off three lorries containing essential commodity kits to be distributed to tobacco farmers having less than one acre of land and agriculture workers working in the tobacco fields at a a programme held at Pattabhipuram here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that with the financial assistance of Hindustan Unilever and BF NGO at Pune, they are distributing essential commodities to 2,000 families in Guntur and Prakasam districts.

He further said that due to lockdown, agriculture workers lost their livelihood. To extend helping hand to them, they are distributing essential commodity kits. BJP leaders YV Subba Rao, GV Rao, Papa Rao, BF NGO AP representative Gopala Reddy were among those present.
