Guntur: GMC to allot houses to beneficiaries by Nov 20
Guntur : GMC commissioner Challa Anuradha informed that the GMC will distribute houses to the TIDCO beneficiaries. She assured that the GMC will distribute the allotment letters to the beneficiaries by November 20.
She further said that they will complete the triparty agreement from November 21 to December 20. Meanwhile, police detained TDP politburo member Nakka Anand Babu and the party leader Dr Chadalavada Aravinda Babu at their houses and foiled their attempt to storm Andhra Pradesh Township and Infrastructure Corporation (TIDCO) houses here on Monday. CPI state assistant secretary Muppalla Nageswara Rao was arrested and shifted to Tulluru police station.
In response to call given by TDP leadership, the party district leaders and CPI leaders tried to lay seize to the TIDCO houses in the city.
While CPI leaders took out a rally from JKC college to TIDCO houses at Adavitakkellapdu, the police arrested J Ajay Kumar, Kota Malyadri, N Chinna, J Chaitanya and shifted them to Nallapadu Police Station. They prevented them from going near TIDCO houses and foiled their attempt to seize TIDCO houses which were constructed during the TDP regime.
Muppalla Nageswara Rao and J Ajay Kumar said, "Guntur Municipal Corporation responded to their agitation and steps are being taken to distribute houses to the beneficiaries. It is our victory. The government could not stop agitation with police force."
