Guntur: Implement testing strategy, health officials told

Guntur: District Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar on Wednesday directed the officials to implement the testing strategy recommended by the Medical and Health department.

He addressed a video conference with the officials of the medical and health department from Collectorate in Guntur district.

Speaking on this occasion, he instructed the officials to conduct medical tests to people above 60 years of age suffering from other diseases and people residing in the containment zones as a precautionary measure. Similarly, in non-containment zones, people suffering from other chronic diseases should be tested.

He directed to upload the details in the ANM App. Free medicines should be distributed to the persons above 60 years of age in the containment and non-containment zones. He instructed the officials to take steps against persons moving on the roads without masks and impose penalty. He urged the officials to create awareness on need to wear masks and directed to implement the orders of the higher officials.
