Guntur: MTF demands 27%+ fitment, PRC for 5 years

Guntur: Municipal teachers under the banner of AP State Municipal Teachers Federation staged a protest in Guntur city on Tuesday opposing the GO issued by the government regarding the implementation of PRC recommendations.

Speaking to the media, Federation State president P Ramakrishna demanded 27 per cent + fitment and the PRC for five years instead of ten years. He further said that due to the reduction of the HRC, every employee is losing Rs 4,000 per month. Describing cancellation of HRC as unjust, he said that removal of additional quantum of pension for the pensioners aged above 70 years is a heavy loss.

Ramakrishna expressed dissatisfaction over the PRC and urged the government to review the PRC and do justice to the employees. He said that schoolteachers under the banner of MTF staged protests across the State.
