Guntur police crack Nadikudi SBI bank robbery case, two accused arrested

There is a saying that no matter how intelligence the thieves are to commit robbery, they will leave a clue at the crime scene. The same thing happened in the case of Nadikudi SBI bank theft case which caused a sensation in the state where Rs. 85 lakh money was stolen. A piece of paper slipped out of thief's pocket in the process, which made the police job easy to catch them. Police recovered the cash in addition to cracking the State Bank theft case within five days.

Going into details, the robbery took place at Nadikudi SBI bank in Dachepalli area on the 21st of this month while Rural SP Vishal Gunny directed police to look into the bank on the day of the theft and given guidelines on how to investigate the case. In the investigation, police have identified two youths from Miryalaguda of Telangana, as the culprits. It is learnt that these youths, who belong to a family of pig breeders, visit Dachepalli from time to time. The police investigation has revealed that they had seen the movies and committed bank robberies after realising that they had committed bank robberies.

The money stolen by the accused are of hundred rupee note bundles which they took the whole thing out of the bank. While taking the bundles from the bank and filling them in the bag, a slip of mobile number written on it fell from the pocket of an accused, which was brought to the attention of the SP that the matter came to the notice of the police. With this, SP Vishal Gunny did not immediately dial the phone number instead directed the police to investigate over the owner of the mobile number.

A police team was sent to Miryalaguda EST Colony as soon as it came to light that the youth with the mobile number in the call list belonged to the colony. Reaching the colony directly and interrogating their relatives, the police immediately arrested the young man as he was a local. Another burglar who assisted him was not available for two days after realising that the police were already hunting to catch him. It is learnt that the young man, who was in police custody, made a phone call to second person to arrest him on Thursday. Information that the accused will be produced in court on Friday.

Fearing over huge sum of money, the accused dumped Rs. 45 lakh worth of money locally in the cemetery behind the Subbamma Hotel. It is learnt that he took the rest of the money and reached the national highway and reached Miryalaguda in a the lorry. Their plan is to come a week later and take the money if the police do not find out. Police searched the cemetery. But the money did not go noticed.
