Guntur: Rare surgery performed on centenarian

Guntur: Doctors at the Dr. Ramesh Hospital on Tuesday successfully performed a rare surgery on a 100-year-old woman. Her left leg femur bone got fractured. Doctors under the aegis of Ramesh Hospitals chief orthopedic surgeon Jagadeesh performed the surgery.

According to doctors, the woman Sobhanadriswaramma hails from West Godavari district, fell down accidentally. Her left leg femur bone got fractured. Based on the suggestion of Dr Jagadish, the woman underwent surgery.

Speaking on this occasion, Dr Jagadeesh said they are performing surgeries relating to bones from one year baby to centenarian. Dr. Boyapati Giridhar, Dr Karthik, Dr Prasanth performed the surgery.
