Guntur: Seven hurt as private bus overturns

Guntur: Seven bus passengers were seriously injured, another 10 suffered minor injuries when a speeding private travels bus in which they were travelling hit a road divider and overturned on National Highway-5, at Yadlapadu in the district on Monday.

According to police, bus belonging to Venkata Ramana Travels, proceeding to Vijayawada from Bangalore crashed into a road divider at Yadlapadu as the driver lost the control.

The injured persons were shifted to the Governemtn General Hospital in Guntur city for treatment.

Yadlpadu sub-inspector K Nageswara Rao rushed to the spot and enquired about the incident. Police registered a case and took up investigation.
