Guntur: TDP leaders stage dharna for registering false cases
Guntur: TDP leaders led by former minister Prathipati Pulla Rao on Monday staged a protest at Chilakaluripet urban police station for registering false cases against the TDP activists in connection with Kotappakonda prabhala dispute. The TDP activists raised slogans against the police for their high-handedness. Speaking on the occasion, Pulla Rao alleged that the police officials were searching the houses of TDP leaders and creating fear among them.
He demanded the police to book cases against the accused who pelted stones on the car in which MLA Vidadala Rajini's brother in-law Gopinath was traveling and investigate the case impartially. Police assured that if TDP leaders lodge a complaint, they will register the case against Gopinath.
It may be mentioned that the police officials booked a case against the TDP activists for vandalising the car in which Chilakalurpet MLA Vidadala Rajini's brother in-law Gopinath was travelling four days ago at Kattubadivaripalem village. Based on the complaint lodged by Gopinath, the police booked case against TDP activists for pelting the stones on the car.
