Guntur Urban, Rural SPs take charge

Guntur: RN Ammi Reddy took over charge as Guntur urban SP at DPO in Guntur city on Monday. Similarly, Vishal Gunni assumed charge as Guntur rural police district SP. Later, they met Guntur range IGP J Prabhakara Rao.

After taking charge, Ammi Reddy told the media that he will give priority to check white collar crimes, cyber crime, atrocities on women, property disputes and maintain law and order. He said he will give priority to solve traffic problem in the city. He would conduct counselling to the rowdy-sheeters and assured to check illegal transport of Ganja, Gutka, khaini with Special Enforcement Bureau teams. He made it clear that he would not allow recreation clubs and prepare action plan to check anti-social activities.

Speaking to media after taking charge, Vishal Gunni said that he will give top priority to solve problems of the people. He would be within the reach of people. He urged the people to give any information relating to corruption in the department and anti-social activities. They may ring 9440796200 and give information. He said he will take up welfare activities also. He expressed confidence that the officials will cooperate with him in solving problems of the people. He urged the officials to maintain transparency in the administration and extend cooperation to get good name and fame to the department. He assured that the police department services to the people relating Covid-19 will continue. He warned that he would take stern action against those who involved in illegal transport of sand, liquor, gutka.
