Guru Purnima celebrated with fervour

Tirupati: A large number of devotes thronged Shirdi Sai Baba temples in the city to offer prayers to Sai Baba on the occasion of Guru Purnima. The celebrations were held with traditional gaiety and devotion. Temples were tastefully decorated with flowers and lights and special queue lines have been erected.

As the temples will be closed from evening till Wednesday morning in view of the lunar eclipse, people have rushed to visit the temples well before closure. Special pujas and Abhishekams were performed for Sai Baba and Dattatreya. Annadanam programme was held at several temples for the devotees.
