Gutkha of worth Rs. 30 lakh seized in Guntur, one held

The police have seized prohibited tobacco products (gutkha) of worth Rs 30 lakh in Guntur district on Wednesday. One person was arrested, a lorry and a cell phone was seized.

Taking the advantage of the lockdown, the accused who have been transporting the Gutka from Gulberga to Nellore have been caught by police at Piduguralla in Guntur district. The police who found the lorry carrying the Gutkha of worth Rs. 30 lakh have seized the lorry.

Earlier, large quantities of gutkha and pan masala is found in the vicinity of Visakhapatnam last month. The police have found the illegal transportation and seized the material.
