Governor happy with amenities in new government hospital
Vijayawada: Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan on Friday inspected the new general government hospital at Gunadala. The Governor was received by Hospital Superintendent Dr Nancharaiah and other doctors.
The Governor planted the saplings and interacted with patients and doctors and visited Anesthesiology, General Surgery, Pathology, Radiology and Blood Bank departments and discussed about the available facilities with Dr Siva Shankar, Dr Saila Bala and Dr Lankeswari, heads of those of departments.
He directed the hospital superintendent that sufficient stocks of required blood groups should be maintained at the blood bank. The Governor inspected the surgical general ward and enquired the patients whether they were satisfied with the facilities and services provided at the hospital.
Later, addressing media, the Governor said that he was satisfied with the infrastructure facilities available at the new general government hospital and the services offered to the patients.
He said the hospital premises are being maintained well and said cleanliness and greenery at hospital was very much necessary for the wellbeing of patients. The Governor was accompanied by Secretary to Governor Mukesh Kumar Meena, Joint Secretary to Governor Arjuna Rao and other officials of Raj Bhavan.
