Hamsala Haram offered to Goddess Durga in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: The family members of former Minister Danam Nagendra from Hyderabad offered the 'Hamsala Haram' a diamond necklace, to Goddess Kanaka Durga at the Sri Durga Malleshwara swamy Devasthanom atop the Indrakeeladri here on Tuesday.

The gold ornament weighs 126.3 gm studded with precious stones. The ornament was studded with 177 white stones, 49 corals, 20 emeralds and 10 diamond stones. The devotees met the temple executive officer MV Suresh Babu and handed over the ornament for the decoration of the goddess.

Devasthanam's Vedic priests blessed the family members by providing Veda Aashirvachanam to them on the occasion. Later, the Executive Officer gave them the portrait of Goddess Kanaka Durga and Prasadam.
