Heavy Rains across Coastal Andhra: Officials cautioned the people of low lying areas
The district administration, NDRF and SDRF have cautioned the people in the wake of heavy rains over the past few days. Fire crews were alerted by the fire department. People in the low lying areas and river basins are advised to be careful.
They were warned not to cross the river and swim in floodwaters. All of the projects have been flooded with torrential rains. Disaster Management issued first alert notices at Prakasam Barrage as floodwater increased in Krishna river.
The Inflow at sunkesula project is 1,87,077 and outflow of 1,86,973 cusecs. The Inflow at Srisailam Dam is 6,61,157 Outflow 6,13,089 cusecs. The Inflow and Outflow at Nagarjunasagar is 6,06,470 cusecs. Inflow Puliichintala is 4,88,987 and outflow is at 4,95,054 cusecs while the inflow at Prakasam Barrage is 4,60,000 and Outflow is 4,17,000 cusecs.
On the other hand, the APRTGS has issued a high alert to Visakhapatnam as the low pressure increasing in the Bay Of Bengal. With this, there is a chance of moderate to heavy rains across coastal Andhra. The officials warned the fishermen not to enter into the sea for fishing.
