High Court issues notice to YSRCP MLA on Devineni Uma's petition

The High Court has issued notices to Mailavaram YSRCP MLA Vasantha Venkata Krishna Prasad. The court hearing the petition filed by former minister Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao, who contested against him, has issued notices to the MLA for clarification. High Court Judge Justice M. Gangarao gave the orders in this regard.

Former minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao has filed a petition in the High Court seeking the annulment of his election. The court also issued a notice to the Election Returning Officer along with MLA Krishnaprasad.

In the last election, Vasantha Venkata Krishna Prasad contested on behalf of YSRCP from Krishna district Mailavalam constituency and won a grand victory against minister Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao. Leaders of both parties have been criticizing each other in the constituency for a few days on sand shortage. As the political heating continues, it remains to be seen how the YSRCP MLA reacts to the Devineni's petition and the High Court's order.
