Amaravati: The High Court has announced the verdict on the petition filed over VIP break darshan at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam on Wednesday. The court has dismissed the petition as TTD has already cancelled the VIP break darshan system.

However, the petitioner has filed a case demanding to know on what basis the devotees are divided into L1, L2, and L3 in break darshan.

The petitioner urged to provide if any TTD act, GO, Guidelines are available regarding VIP break darshan. He also appealed to the court to cancel L1, L2, and L3 darshan.

The petitioner lawyer Umesh Chandra has brought the Supreme court ruling to the court notice that all devotees should be treated equally in temples.

On considering the request of the lawyer, the high court has directed the state government and TTD Standing Committee to submit complete details over VIP break darshan in July this year.

After completing the hearings on this issue, the court has finally given the verdict on Wednesday.

On getting strong objection over the division of devotees in three sections at VIP break darshan, the TTD governing body has decided to cancel break darshan at Srivari temple on July 17.

With the cancellation of the break darshan, one hour time will be saved, and additional 5,000 common devotees will get the opportunity to visit the Lord in the temple. During the heavy rush, only the protocol and prominent personalities are allowed in VIP darshan.
