Hospitals in agency to be upgraded in Vizianagaram

Vizianagaram: The government has agreed to upgrade the hospitals at Kurupam, Salur and Gajapathinagaram in the district. Following a request made by Deputy Chief Minister P Pushpa Srivani, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy agreed to improve the facilities in the hospitals in this area.

The hospital in Kurupam will be provided 50 beds from 30 beds and sanctioned 8 regular posts and 6 outsourcing staff here. Salur community health centre will be upgraded from 30 beds to 100 beds along with 42 regular staff besides 22 outsourcing staff.

Gajapathinagaram CHC also would be upgraded from 30 beds to 100 beds. Area hospital in Araku also would be upgraded to 150 beds from 100 beds along with additional staff. Srivani stated, "All the health centres will be sanctioned funds to complete additional buildings too. Providing quality health services is our motto and the government is ready to spend funds on health," she said.
