Amaravati: While speaking on a short discussion on onion shortage, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy criticised Opposition TDP for trying to politicise the issue.

He said Heritage Foods owned by Chandrababu Naidu's family members was selling onions at Rs 200 per kg.

While reacting to the criticism by Jagan, Naidu dared the Chief Minister to prove his stake in the Heritage and said that the firm was sold and he does not own the company anymore. Further, he challenged the Chief Minister to prove if he had evidence on what he alleged.

Otherwise, Naidu demanded that Jagan should resign from the post of the Chief Minister. Naidu further said if Jagan proved that he owned Heritage, then he would resign from the MLA post.

Before that, a video-clipping of the comments of the kin of the deceased was shown in the House which said that the person who died in Gudivada Rythu Bazaar did not go for buying onions and a section of media has insisted that they vouch for such statement for which they would get ex gratia.
