Housing programme will spur economic activity: Minister Chelluboina Venu Gopala Krishna

Kakinada: BC Welfare Minister Chelluboina Venu Gopala Krishna said that Jagan Mohan Reddy government is taking up a massive housing programme to generate economic activity on a large scale.

He distributed the house site pattas along with district collector D Muralidhar Reddy and Sub-Collector Himanshu Kaushik under the Navaratnalu - Pedalandariki Illu scheme at Sankaraguptam village of Malkipuram mandal in East Godavari district on Sunday.

He said that the Chief Minister fulfilled the dream of owning a house by the poor. The Chief Minster provided property to every poor person by giving house sites pattas and created a record by offering house sites to 30.75 lakh women beneficiaries across the state.

District collector D Muralidhar Reddy said that they distributed the house sites pattas to 3.84 lakh beneficiaries in the district. He said that 1.5 lakh houses have been sanctioned and suggested that every beneficiary should utilise the opportunity given by Chief Minister. He informed that Jagan has given three options regarding the construction of the house and the beneficiaries can choose and build the house.
