HPCL distributes clay Ganesh idols in Visakhapatnam
Visakhapatnam: As part of the 'Swachchta Fortnight' observance, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), organised three different programmes at the Beach Road on Friday.
A rally was held from Kali Mata temple to YMCA with more than 800 students of SDI along with various schools. It was flagged off by the General Manager (HR), HPCL K Nagesh. In line with the 'one-man one-day, one-lakh seed balls pitching', the environment-friendly seed balls prepared by SDI students have been handed-over to the mountaineer and karate champion Bhupathiraju Anmish Varma Anmish who will spray the seeds on hill tops.
To promote eco-friendly move, clay Ganesh idols with seeds were distributed to the morning-walkers. To promote Fit India Movement, the children displayed various feats with roller-skating, rings and human pyramids.
Speaking on the occasion, K Nagesh complimented all the students and the school managements for the commitment towards cleanliness drive. It was held in collaboration with the help of its Skill Development Institute.
