HPCL inaugurates teachers training programme in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: As part of CSR initiatives, HPCL is organising two mobile science labs and one science centre in GVMC schools which are in the vicinity of Visakh Refinery to benefit the large number of high school students.

On Tuesday, G Rama, Chief General Manager-Materials, HPCL-VR and Project Leader Mobile Science Labs, inaugurated the Teachers Training Programme, 'Make Your Own Lab' at GVMC High School, Malkapuram, Visakhapatnam.

HPCL is organising this four days training programme in coordination with Agastya Foundation with an intention to train all the GVMC High Schools science teachers to make their own laboratory equipment with low cost and train the students in their science laboratory demonstrations.

As part of Swachhta Hi Sewa initiative, G Rama also inaugurated the rally and Sramadaan programme at GVMC High School, Malkapuram and in Prakash Nagar Colony area with the participation of large number of students, GVMC school teachers and public to promote awareness on collection of plastic waste and disposal in association with GVMC, various organisations and NGOs.
