HPCL-VR Swachh Bharat Pakhwada inaugurated
Visakhapatnam: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Visakh Refinery is observing Swachh Bharat Fortnight from August 16-31 as per guidelines given by MOP & NG, Government of India. As part of Swachh Bharath Pakhwada, HPCL-Visakh Refinery has been organising various activities to promote awareness on cleanliness and Swachh Bharat in association with GVMC.
V Ratanraj, ED-VR, has administered the pledge in English and Y Sreeramulu, CGM-Technical has administered the pledge in Hindi and P V B Rao has administered the pledge in Telugu with large number of employees. Subsequently, Ratanraj has mentioned that we are supporting to build clean India as dreamt by Mahatma Gandhi.
The ED flagged off 10 Swachh Raths, 2 Mega Digital Screen Vehicles and released the pamphlets, flute boards, placards, auto rickshaw stickers and door stickers on Swachh Bharat to be distributed/displayed in Visakhapatnam to bring awareness among public on cleanliness and health.
While addressing the gathering Ratanraj emphasised the commitment of HPCL- Visakh Refinery as corporate citizen towards Swachh Bharat Mission and the support would be continued to GVMC for the good cause in the society.
He also explained the activities being taken up by HPCL-Visakh Refinery during the Swachh Bharat Fortnight celebrations viz. Swachh Raths, Digital Vans, Distribution of Pamphlet, Organising Kiosks at various GVMC and Zilla Parishat High Schools and Hospitals for bringing awareness among the general public on health and cleanliness in Visakhapatnam.
GVMC Zonal Commissioner Simhachalam and GVMC CMO Dr Hemanth applauded the initiatives taken up by HPCL, Visakh Refinery to bring awareness among public on Swachh Bharat and informed that the GVMC would continue their support for the same.
APRO-GVMC Nageswara Rao was also present. Manager-PR MKVL Narasimham briefed the various activities to be undertaken by HPCL in coordination with GVMC covering all 8 Zones of GVMC. Senior Officials of Visakh Refinery, PVB Rao, CGM-Maintenance, Y Sriramulu, CGM-Minor Projects, R Ramakrishnan, CGM-Operations, N Ramachandran, CGM-Finance, K Appa Rao, DGM-HR, B N Rao, DGM-HR, Srinivas, Head-IT and large number of employees, mobile science labs staff, mobile medical units staff and Daan Foundation (NGO) staff participated.
