Huge quantity of ganja seized in Vizianagaram

Salur (Vizianagaram): The district police have seized huge quantity of ganja which was being transported from Odisha. SI of Salur Ch Gangaraju informed that their staff along with inspector K Simhadrinaidu and others were checking the vehicles at P Konavalasa check-post.

A van which was loaded with cartons of fruits was stopped and checked by the police. But the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled from the spot. Police found cartons packed with ganja weighing about 1,000 kg. Police have arrested three men who were travelling in the van. The van with ganja was shifted to police station and a case was registered. Investigation is on.
