Husband arrested for killing his wife over a dispute in YSR Kadapa district

The police on Sunday arrested Dasa Lakshmaiah in connection with the murder of his wife homeopathy doctor Annapurnamma in Kadapa. While the police were interrogating Lakshmaiah in connection with the murder of Annapurnamma, Lakshmaiah admitted that he had beaten his wife to death with a hammer during a family dispute. The police arrested him and remanded him in custody. DSP Sunil said that Lakshmaiah was caught by the police while trying to evade the case.

Going into details, Annapurrnamma died on December 22 at her home in Om Shanti Nagar under suspicious circumstances and on the other hand, Annapurnamma's only daughter died in Georgia. It is learnt that Annapurnamma borrowed lakhs to repatriate her daughter's body from Georgia. In the meanwhile, Lakshmaiah pressurised his wife to give him some cash. However, Annapurnamma refused to give him the money and frustrated husband angrily hit her on the head with a hammer. He took his wife, who was bleeding profusely, to a nearby hospital.

Lakshmaiah, who kept the real matter a secret from the doctors asked doctors to treat his wife. The original matter came to light when doctors provided information to police on suspicion.
