Idea generation workshop held by Syndicate Bank

Ongole: The Syndicate Bank kick-started the consultative workshops for idea generation at the grassroots level to provide bottom-up approach to stimulate the ideation process at the bank, said Ongole regional manager Tadi Ramakrishna.

He said that the workshop for the Vijayawada, Guntur and Ongole regions was held in Vijayawada on Saturday and they discussed ideas aiming to optimise banking by increasing the use of technology and aligning banking with the national priorities.

He said that the ideation and consultative process is being initiated at branch level then taken up to city level then to region followed by state and finally national level for full inclusiveness so as to ensure the services are delivered on a proactive mode.

He said that as the bank has already geared up for more technological advancements, these discussions are going to add fuel on its journey of commitment towards customers. He said that an in-depth ideation process will be undertaken to assess and improve various functions of banking like digital payments business, credit for country's MSME, use of technology, retail lending, agriculture credit, and corporate governance in the bank.

Ramakrishna also said that strong importance will be given to aligning banking with national priorities including evaluation of bank on parameters like credit support for economic growth & infrastructure, housing for all, empowering women, Swachh Bharat, MSMEs & Mudra loan, education loan, technology, financial inclusion, contribution towards improving farmer's income, contribution towards the digital economy, corporate social responsibility, etc.

The regional manager said that the Syndicate Bank has always kept the country's economic growth as the objective while formulating any new initiatives and these workshops are testaments to that commitment only.

He said that brainstorming sessions are being mobilised across all 4,063 branches of the bank where senior bankers aim at the generation of ideas that keep national priorities and customer service as important, as directed by the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance.
