IISER faculty gets young scientist award

Tirupati: Dr AV Rama Rao Young Scientist Award-2018 has been conferred to Dr Ekambaram Balaraman, Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Tirupati.

The award was in recognition for his significant contributions on non-noble metal catalysis aimed at sustainable chemical synthesis. He is a well-cited author of 62 research publications in reputed international journals.

The award was presented to him by the Director of Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) Prof S Chandrasekhar in Hyderabad.
