IIT Tirupati gets Swacchh campus award
Tirupati: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Tirupati got the distinction of getting 'Swacchh campus' award from the Union government. It won sixth place in these awards among all Universities having All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) recognition, IITs, IISERs and Central Universities. The Union government appointed committees went through all the institutions to identify best Swacchh campuses.
At a function held in New Delhi on Tuesday, the Secretary of Human Resources Development Ministry Reddy Subramanyam has given away the award and meritorious certificate to IIT Tirupati Registrar AVB Prasad and Prof NN Kishore. IIT Tirupati Director Prof KN Satyanarayana congratulated all the faculty, staff and students for their cooperation in achieving the distinction.
