Infrastructure in 1,000 government schools to be developed in Krishna district
Vijayawada: Infrastructure will be developed in 1,077 schools run by the government in Krishna district with the implementation of ambitious Mana Badi Nadu-Nedu programme, to be launched on November 14.
The State government has decided to develop infrastructure in all government schools run by ZP, Municipalities, Mandal Parishads in the State in a phased manner.
As part of it, 1,077 schools were identified in the district. Under the Nadu Nedu scheme, toilets would be constructed as per the ratio of boys and girls and running water facility would be provided for the convenience of children.
Classrooms would be equipped with fans, lights and purified drinking water. Furniture would be provided for the staff and and paintings would be done as part of facelift to the school buildings.
Additional classrooms would be built as per the requirements of the schools and compound walls would be built to give protection to the students. District Collector Md Imtiaz on Wednesday visited ZP High School at Tadigadapa village under Penamaluru mandal.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said Ministers, Education Department officials and people's representatives would participate in the inauguration Nadu Nedu programme to be held at the Manikonda ZP high school under Unguturu mandal on Thursday.
