Inter-collegiate Kabaddi competitions begin in Rajamahendravaram
Rajamahendravaram: Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) vice-chancellor Prof P Suresh Varma has said that the university is giving importance to sports and the students of the university are representing national and international level sports meets and proving their mettle.
Inaugurating two-day intercollegiate Kabaddi competitions at the campus here on Tuesday, he said as many as 34 teams from the affiliated colleges of the university in twin Godavari districts were participating.
The selected team will represent South India level Kabaddi competitions scheduled to be held at Mangalore University in Karnataka from December 11 to 14. Sports Board also working in the university to develop sports. Sports board chairman DR KS Rao and others were present.
