Investment subsidy will be distributed from Oct: Perni Venkatramaiah

Guntur: District in-charge minister Perni Venkatramaiah said that Chef Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is implementing Navaratnas to extend helping hand to poor. Hoisting the national flag on the occasion of 73rd Independence Day celebrations here on Thursday, he said the government appointed village volunteers to extend the fruits of welfare scheme benefits to the all eligible people.

He assured that the government would distribute investment subsidy of Rs 12,500 to every farmer from October and same would be extended to tenant farmers also. He recalled that the government had paid insurance premium under the YSR Crop Insurance Scheme on behalf of the farmers to extend helping hand and to prevent suicides among farmers.

Under the scheme, the kin of farmers family will get Rs 7 lakh insurance from the insurance company. He said so far, the insurance company paid claims to seven farmers and recalled that the government had set up price stabilization fund with Rs 3,000 crore besides giving 9-hour day power supply to agriculture pumpsets.

He said the government has taken up canals and drains modernisation works in the Krishna Western Delta region at a cost of Rs 1,130 crore in the district and taken up Nallamada drain modernisation works.

MP Lavu Srikrishnadevarayalu, MLAs Mustafa, Maddali Giri, MLC K S Lakshmana Rao, Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar, GMC Commissioner Srikar B Lathkar were among those participated.
