IRCTC's Jagannath Kamakhya Yatra begins on January 17 in Tirupati
Tirupati: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will run Bharat Darshan special tourist train to 'Jagannath Kamakhya Yatra with Gaya' starting from Secunderabad on January 17.
IRCTC Area Manager BV Ramesh Kumar has said that the package covers major temples in East India – Puri Jagannath temple, Bhubaneswar Lingaraj temple, Kolkata Dakshineswar Kali temple, Belur Math, Guwahati Kamakhya Devi temple, Bodh Gaya and Pinda daan (near Vishnupad temple), Visakhapatnam and Simhachalam.
The nine nights and 10 days tour starts on the early morning of January 17 at Secunderabad and concludes on January 26 at the same place. Passengers can entrain and detrain at Secunderabad, Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Rajamahendravaram and Duvvada. The fare per person would be Rs 9,450 in sleeper class and Rs 11,550 in III Tier AC.
The package includes night stay/fresh up at dharmashalas/ dormitories on multi-sharing basis. Tour escort and security on train will be provided. In another package, IRCTC conducts Udipi, Sringeri and Dharmasthala yatra by special tourist train.
The eight-day tour starts on January 30 in Vijayawada and concludes on February 6 there itself and the fare would be Rs 9,925 for sleeper class and Rs 11,605 for III Tier AC.
In this package Hampi, Gokarna, Murudeswar, Mukambika, Sringeri, Dharmasthala, Kukke Subramanyam, Udipi, Mysore, Belur and Halebeedu will be covered. Tourists can entrain or detrain at Gunthakal, Mahaboob Nagar, Kacheguda, Warangal, Khammam, Kurnool and Vijayawada.
