Ongole: The Rajyasabha member Y Satyanarayana Chowdary (Sujana Chowdary) announced that the Bharatiya Janata Party has given the choice to Purandheswari to decide herself to continue in it or not. He participated in the Mahatma Gandhi Sankalpa Yatra and interacted with the party workers at MS Function Hall in Ongole on Friday afternoon.

The BJP Loksabha MPs are participating in the Mahatma Gandhi Sankalpa Yatra, a padayatra, in their respective constituencies while the Rajyasabha MPs are attending them as per their convenience, following the call given by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inspire public on the teachings of the Father of the Nation. The BJP Rajyasabha MP GVL Narasimha Rao initiated the Sankalpa Yatra from Chirala on October 15 and scheduled to end at Vinodarayunipalem, the birthplace of Andhra Kesari Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu on October 31.

Sujana Chowdary participated in the Sankalpa Yatra in Ongole from the Bapuji Market Complex and the padayatra went on to MS Function Hall via Truck Road, Mastan Darga, Miriyalapalem Center, Church Center, Collector Office and D Mart. Speaking to the media, the MP said that the BJP has given the right to take a decision to continue in the party or resign to it to join the YSRCP along with her family members. He said that the regional parties in both Telugu states are homes for hierarchal politics and are sharing power. He announced that there is a number of leaders from Telugu Desam Party are waiting to join BJP and are in discussions with local leadership. Responding to the question about the meeting with Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan, he said that the meeting between them is casual and only on a friendly basis. He said that it is not the place to talk about the political angle in the meeting with Vamsi and announced that he will reveal the details about political discussion later.

BJP leaders PV Krishna Reddy, Edara Haribabu, Chandu Sambasiva Rao, Dara Sambaiah, Bodduluri Anjaneyulu and others also participated in the program.
