YS Jagan betrays BCs: TDP
Amaravati: On the occasion of completing one-year ruling by the YSRCP government in the State, the TDP lambasted that it was a year of destruction.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday, TDP senior leader and former minister Kollu Ravindra stated that the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy did not fulfil his promises made to the backward classes and weaker sections prior to general elections.
Ravindra said that Jagan suppressed the BC communities in all aspects in his first one year rule. On the other, he claimed that the TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu's assurance at Mahanadu came like a morale booster for BC communities.
He said that the CM promised reservations, jobs and nominated posts at the time of elections but after coming to power, he was giving priority only to his caste persons. While TDP nominated Putta Sudhakar Yadav as TTD chairman, YSRCP gave this post to SV Subba Reddy. Roja Reddy became APIIC Chairperson which was given to P. Krishnaiah, a BC, under the TDP regime. There are 19 BCs in AP Legislative Council which was now being abolished with least respect for the backward communities, he blamed.
