Jagan failures became a curse to Andhra Pradesh: TDP

Update: 2020-02-01 22:41 IST

Amaravati: Due to the adamant nature of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his bad governance in the last eight months, the AP paid a heavy price in the union budget, criticized former Finance Minister and TDP leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu.

He said, in a press release on Saturday that the CM gave letters to the union government by saying that he would not required funds for Amaravati, hence the centre ignored. Further, the CM threatened the power sector big players who entered into the Power Purchase Agreements, investors went back and there were many other anti-industrial activities that took place in the state, criticised Ramakrishnudu. He added that at least Rs 1 lakh cr investments went back in the new government.

The TDP AP president Kala Venkata Rao lambasted on the YSRCP government and the party. He stated that the YSRCP MP V Vijaya Sai Reddy and others have been indulging in mudslinging activities by throwing the blame on the TDP government. Jagan has been ruling the state from last eight months and they have all opportunities to ensure sufficient funds to the State. But, what both Jagan and Vijaya Sai Reddy spent all the time to escape from the pending cases on them by lobbying with the centre, he said. Despite of having 22 MPs, the YSRCP utterly failed in ensuring Special Category Status to AP.

Another TDP senior leader K Atchannaidu said that only because of the failure of the Chief Minister, the central government ignored Andhra Pradesh in the Budget. He said that whenever the Chief Minister visited Hyderabad, he spoke with the Union Ministers on his pending CBI cases only. Which resulted in huge loss to the entire state, he added.
