Jagan government committed for welfare of poor: MP Venkata Ramana Rao

Guntur: Rajya Sabha member Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy fulfilled 90 percent of election promises within 17 months of ruling besides implementing several welfare schemes for SC, ST, BCs and Minorities.

He participated in the Padayatra along with the YSRCP leader Padarthi Ramesh Gandhi at Sambasivapet here on Sunday.

Speaking on this occasion, he recalled that at the time of forming the YSRCP government, state was facing severe financial crisis and added that Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had improved financial position and implementing the several welfare schemes.

He said that welfare schemes being introduced by the government benefited by all the sections of the people. He listed out YSR Aarogya Sri, AmmaVodi, YSR Asara, Jaganna Vidya Kanauka schemes and renovating schools and college under Nadu-Nedu scheme and YSR Rythu Bharosa schemes. He urged all the eligible to avail benefits of welfare schemes and recalled that ward and village secretariats were set up to solve problems at village or ward secretariats. He said that if anybody is facing problems in getting benefits, he will take steps to solve problems.

Earlier, he participated in the Padayatra held under the aegis of MLA Mustafa and interacted with the people and enquired about implementation of welfare schemes. Speaking on this occasion, he said that the government led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was committed for the welfare of poor. He urged the party activists to conduct campaign about welfare schemes. YSRCP leaders Kavati Manohar Naidu, Padarthi Ramesh and others were present.
