YS Jagan addresses at Amma Vodi event, says poor students should compete globally
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday addressed at a public meeting organized on the occasion of the launch of the Jagananna Amma Vodi scheme and stated that they are organizing the ten-day Jagananna Amma Vodi celebrations.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the people for keeping him in their hearts and stated that they are taking steps to make the poor students in the state compete with the world.
YS Jagan on the occasion put forth before the public the reforms brought by the government. He said that they have brought the Amma Vodi scheme for mothers to send their children to schools to ensure that no student is left without education.
Stating that there was a lack of teachers in the past governments, he said that the YSRCP government has brought many changes and appointed the subject teachers from the primary classes itself. he added that the TOEFL curriculum is being implemented right from the third class itself to make the students compete globally.
Further briefing, YS Jagan said that they had spent an amount of Rs. 66, 722 crores on the education sector by providing Amma Vodi, providing tab, bringing Digital learning concept, providing bilingual books to the students for the first time, Jagananna Vidya Deevena with 100% full fee reimbursement. He said the government is providing financial assistance of RS. 25 lakh for students studying in abroad.
The government will disburse funds into the accounts of mothers who send their wards to schools from class 1 to 12 for the academic year 2023-24
