Amaravati: Protest at Amaravati reached 150th day as on Friday, demanding state government to withdraw the three capitals proposal. During COVID19 lockdown also, the farmers in the region continued their peaceful protests at their respective homes in the villages.

Meanwhile, TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu expressed concern over the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government for not showing any positive attitude though the Amaravati Capital City farmers' agitation has completed 150 days.

Taking part in a virtual meeting with Amaravati JAC on this occasion, the TDP Chief deplored that instead of taking forward the Andhra dream project, the present government was conspiring to crush Amaravati in every way possible. He recalled how 29,500 farmers came forward and gave 35,000 acres for constructing new capital for AP.

The farmers responded in an inspiring manner at a time when the new state was struggling for lack of enough financial strength. Consequently, the farmers were given a suitable package lasting for 10 years, he recalled.
