Jagan making all efforts to bring back state economy: Sridhar Reddy
Amaravati: YSR Congress MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy said the state's economy was badly affected due to the misrule of the previous CM N Chandrababu Naidu.
However, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was making all efforts to bring the state's economy back on rails by implementing various measures, he said in a press conference at the party headquarters at Tadepalli in Guntur district on Thursday.
The MLA said, unable to digest the welfare measures being taken by the Jagan government, Chandrababu Naidu was carrying out a disinformation campaign. He said it was ridiculous that a person like Chandrababu Naidu who had earned crores of rupees during his rule was talking of ethical values. He blamed Naidu takes the credit of fostering caste politics right from the time he was a student leader in the SV University.
Regarding the agitation taken up by TDP general secretary N Lokesh against the sand policy, Sridhar Reddy said how could a person who was utterly defeated and looted the state by encouraging sand mafia for the past five years talk about the present government's sand policy.
He said the government would not allow any loopholes in the implementation of sand policy and would see that people have free access to sand without the interference of the sand mafia.
Regarding fears in the media over GO No. 2430, he said it was only the yellow media which was unleashing a vilification campaign against the government that needs to be afraid and not those who are speaking the truth.
