Jagan Seeks Exemption From Appearance in CBI Court: Court Adjourns the hearing To November 1
A case was filed by AP CM Jagan in a CBI court seeking exemption from attending the CBI court in the case of inappropriate assets. Jagan's counsel referred to the Supreme Court's earlier rulings on absenteeism. The CBI court heard the two arguments and adjourned the judgment to November 1.
However, the CBI opposed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's petition, seeking exemption appearance in the court saying he may influence the witnesses.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed a counter in the court of Principal Special Judge for CBI cases in Hyderabad. Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy filed a petition in September pleading for exemption from appearing in the court on above said claims on various grounds including his status as the Chief Minister.
