YS Jagan to address media for the first time, on Monday at Rajahmundry

Amaravati: The Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is going to address the media for the first time on Monday, regarding the boat capsized incident on Godavari river in East Godavari district. This is first his direct interaction with the media, after he assumed charge as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, about three and a half months back.

The Chief Minister is scheduled to visit the incidence spot, conduct an aerial survey at 9.45 am on Monday. By 10.10 am, he will visit Government General Hospital, Rajahmundry and then interact with the victims at the Hospital. From there, he will move to the MC Office at Rajahmundry and will address the media there.

His press meet gained importance, as he did not address the media directly so far on any criticism on government or he did not take a chance to explain about the achievements of his government so far. Now, the public will have an opportunity to see how would the newly elected Chief Minister react on the public issue.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has been monitoring the boat capsized issue keenly from the incident came to know by the government. In fact, he asked the officials to present him about the minute to minute developments. Based on the inputs he has been getting, he has been guiding the officials.

On the other hand, the TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu also sent a team of party senior leaders to visit the victims families and console them. This also brought pressure on the state government.
