Jagan to launch Village Secretariat system at Karapa on Oct 2

Kakinada: Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy will launch Village Secretariat system at Karapa in East Godavari district on October 2. Deputy Chief Minister Pilli SubhashChandra Bose, Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kannababu, Chief Minister's Programme Coordinator Talasila Raghuram, Kakinada MP Vanga Githa and District Collector DMuralidhar Reddy and other officials inspected the site for launching the programme.

Kannababu said the Chief Ministerwould launch the Village Secretariat system in Karapa village. He appealed to officials to make the first Village Secretariat an ideal institution.

Bose said t the Village Secretariats are intended to provide better service to the poor irrespective of caste or religion. The Village Secretariat system is the first of its kind in the country.

Social Welfare Minister Pinepe Viswaroop said the Village Secretariat system is better than mandal system and 4.50 lakh Village Secretariat volunteers have been appointed for the posts. The Chief Minister would address the people from Karapa on October 2, he said.
