Jana Sena for Amaravati as AP's capital
New Delhi: Jana Sena is all for continuing Amaravati as the Capital of Andhra Pradesh and its stand is unflinching in this regard. This was disclosed by Pawan Kalyan after his meeting with BJP national president JP Nadda here on Wednesday. Pawan Kalyan met the BJP leadership along with his deputy Nadendla Manohar to discuss various issues, including the Tirupati by-election candidacy.
Later speaking to the media, Pawan Kalyan said, "even Nadda is of the view that Amaravati should continue. Changing capitals with the change in regime was not advisable. Jana Sena would stand by the farmers of Amaravati till the end.
" He also said that the Centre has assured him that it was Centre's responsibility to complete the Polavaram project and there was no going back on its commitment. The project works should be such that they suit the people and not the requirements of leaders, Nadda reportedly told Pawan. Manohar said they had also discussed issues like corruption in the state, desecration of temples, and law and order situation in Andhra Pradesh.
To a question on Jana Sena fielding its candidate in the Tirupati by-election, he said the BJP would be forming a committee to thrash out the issue.
