Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan to contest for Bhimavaram, Gajuwaka
Amaravati: For the coming 2019 elections, the Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan will be contesting from two Assembly constituencies.
Pawan Kalyan will be contesting from Bhimavaram in West Godavari district, and Gajuwaka in Visakhapatnam district.
On the advice of the party's general body, Janasena chief has taken this decision. As Gajuwaka is an industrial cluster and said to be a stronghold of left parties. With the support of communist parties, the party is expecting to gain the worker's vote bank in the constituency.
Moreover in Bhimavaram, since 2004, the leaders related to the Kapu community are continuously winning in the elections.
It's said that, after the reorganization of the constituency, the Kapu community wave has increased in Bhimavaram.
Basing on these issues, Pawan Kalyan has shown interest to contest from these Assembly constituencies.
As per the party sources, the internal survey also confirmed that these two Assembly constituencies will be favorable for Pawan Kalyan to win the elections.
Though the party has also considered; Pithapuram, Bhimavaram, Pendurthi, Ichchapuram seats, but finally confirmed Bhimavaram, and Gajuwaka Assembly constituencies.
