JEE Advanced results 2021 declared: Counselling from October 16
The JEE Advanced 2021 results for admissions in educational institutions like IIT, NIT, IIIT, GFTI have been released today. IIT Kharagpur has released the results to this effect. Mridul Agarwal topped the JEE results with the highest marks who scored 348 marks out of 360 marks while Kavya Chopra topped in the girls category and scored 286 marks. Candidates who have written the exam can check the results through the website http//jeeadv.ac.in/.
A total of 1,41,699 candidates appeared for Papers 1 and 2 in JEE (Advanced) 2021. Of these, 41,862 candidates qualified for JEE (Advanced) 2021 including 6452 girls. It is learned that the Paper 1 examination was held on the 3rd of this month from 9 am to 12 noon and the Paper 2 examination from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. The two papers were conducted for 360 marks at the rate of 180 marks each. The question paper was set with a total of 57 questions in each paper with 19 questions from each subject.
The experts said that the situation is not comparable to last year as there were different questions and marks than last year and is tougher this time than last year. About 25,000 students from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have appeared for the JEE Advanced exam.
The counseling process will begin on Saturday (October 16) under the auspices of (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) which will fill the seats in 97 educational institutions across the country, including 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 20 GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes), and 23 IIITs.
