Bhimavaram: Priest and Praja Santi Party (PSP) chief KA Paul was not allowed to file his nomination, as he was one hour behind the scheduled time of closure of nominations on Monday.

However, Paul alleged that the police had obstructed him from entering the RO office to file his nomination. Though he went to the office within the stipulated time, the police prevented him from filing the nomination, he accused.

When he tried to file the nomination about one hour after scheduled time limit, the officials expressed their helplessness. Addressing the media, Paul charged both TDP and YSRCP trying to stop him from emerging as main political party leader.

He said he would complain to the Chief Election Commission over the issue. He said that the polling date of April 11 should be relaxed for a few days to facilitate candidates like him to file their nomination.
