Kadapa: 18 villages selected under Prime Minister Adarsh Grama Yojana Scheme

Kadapa: The Union Government has selected 18 villages under Prime Minister Adarsh Grama Yojana Scheme ( PMAGYS) in the district.

According to the officials, the Centre has issued orders and sent them to the district administration on Tuesday. Under this scheme, the selected villages will be developed on the lines of urban town ship.

As per the central government guidelines, survey will be conducted on 7 parameters - population, pensions, ration cards, individual toilets, Jan-Dhan Yojana accounts, gas connections and skill development. Rural Water Supply (RWS) department would conduct survey on availability of water and pending water projects, while Medical& Health department will identify pregnant women, and nutrition problems in the selected villages. District Collector Ch Harikiran said that following directions of the Central government, a comprehensive survey will be conducted and will be sent to the Centre by July 10.
