Kadapa: Pradesh Congress Committee working president N Tulasi Reddy demanded the state government to cancel the 10th class examinations and promote the students for higher classes by providing them grades based on internal assessment and formative assessment marks.

Speaking to media persons at Vempalle on Tuesday, the PCC president recalled the comments of Telangana High Court related to SSC examinations that lives of students are more important than examinations. He said that the same principle is applicable to AP as Coronavirus is rampant in the state.

He said that as many as 6.39 lakh students are going to write the examinations in the state and the parents are expressing fear over prevailing situation.

He said that Central government is implementing reservations for Economically Weaker Sections while state government is confining the reservations to education and not in jobs. So as many as 26,800 EWS youth lost job opportunities.
