Kadapa: Deputy Chief Minister Amzath Basha has said that government is working for welfare of the state by installing various welfare schemes and developmental projects.

Addressing after laying foundation for 18lakh liters capasity, Rs 67.73crores cost drinking water scheme under Amruth Scheme phase-2 at Akkaya palle area in Kadapa city on Saturday he said that chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is striving hard with the aim of transforming the state as "Arogya Andhra Pradesh".

He said that as part of this initiative government is concentrating on to address the problems like drinking water, sanitation, drainage, flowing flood waters, collecting garbage etc by spending funds in a big way.

The deputy CM said that due to establishment of drinking water scheme about 30,000 people in 40th to 47th divisions sould have sufficiant water during even in peak summer.

Meanwhile Proddaturu MLA R. Siva Prasad Reddy has laid foundation stone for construction Rs 150crores costs drinking water scheme meant to address permanent solution for drinking water problem in Proddaturu town on Saturday.

This scheme also will be taken up Amruth Scheme phase-2. Drinking water will be supplied for Proddaturu town by constructing pipeline from Mylavaram reservoir to Rameswaram Head water works.

Proddaturu Municipal Commissioner Radha Reddy, YSR Congress leaders were present.
