Kadapa: International women's day performed in a grand scale
Kadapa: The district administration has performed International Women's Day headed by District Women &Child Welfare Department in a grand note on Sunday.
Joint Collector M. Gouthami who
participated as chief guest in the programme said that it is high time for women to have play key role for building the nation strong as both Central and State Governments are designing several schemes in the interest of promoting Women Empowerment in a big way.
She said that state government has provided 50percent reservations the women in the political field in view of providing social empowerment to women community.
District Princeple Judge Srinivasule has said that women has been given top priority since ancient period as their role is very crucial in designing the society more powerful and strong.
However the principle Judge has stressed the need of conducting camps for bringing awareness in the women about their rights mentioned in the constitution. DRDO PDMurali Mohan, ICDS PD Padmaja, DM&HO Umasundari, District Child Welfare Committee Chairperson Sivagami and others were present.
Meanwhile police has performed International Women's day on Sunday. Speaking the occassion District Superintendent of Police KNN Anburajan has said that police department is conducting camps to bring awareness in the women about Disha Act. He said that women should approach near by police stations and to have lodge complaint immediately after facing any kind of humiliation from the culprits as there will be possibility of initiating action against the accused involved in the crime.Kadapa: International women's day performed in a grand scale
