Kadapa: TDP former MLA of Jammalamadugu Ponnapureddy Rama Subba Reddy is reportedly joining YSRCP in presence of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday.
According to sources, senior YSRCP leader Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy who visited the district two days ago had a meeting with Rama Subba Reddy in an effort to convince him to change loyalty.
However, during the party activists' meeting held at Jammalamaduguon on Monday, it was reportedly decided Rama Subba Reddy should not accept the invitation. But he is said to have second thought and decided to join the ruling party and left for Vijayawada on Tuesday evening.
Rama Subba Reddy entered politics after the murder of his uncle Siva Reddy, popularly known as Bombula Siva Reddy, as his political heir.
He was elected as MLA from Jammalamadugu as TDP candidate, in 1992, byelections and 1994 general elections. He has decades-old political feud with C Adinarayana Reddy's family which cost lives of several activists on both groups. Adinarayana Reddy is now in BJP. But Adinarayana Reddy's brothers, current MLC Sivanada Reddy, former TDP MLC C Narayana Reddy, are also reportedly joining YSRCP in the presence of the Chief Minister on Wednesday.
